A very early approach to using what was later called "Flipped classroom" by using videolectures in ana academic environment was proposed at a conference in 2009
(M. Ronchetti, "Using video lectures to make teaching more interactive" in International Conference on Interactive computer Learning 2009, Kassel, Germania: Kassel University Press, 2009, p. 1-9)
and later (2010) republished on a Journal - see below. An assessmet of the methodology was then descibed at the EDMEDIA conference in 2010
