Frequent trains connect Trento and Venice.

There are slow, direct trains that go through the Valsugana valley and reach Venice in three hours. Other faster trains go through Verona (where you have to change train) and reach Venice in the same time, since the path is longer. One way tickets range between  8 and 12 Euros, but if be careful that if you take the Eurostar or Intercity you migh spend up to 25 Euros one way!

Detaled infos about timetable and prices on the Trenitalia site:

Possible alternatives are to visit nearer places:

Verona.
The town of Romeo and Juliet, just one hour train from Trento.

Yes, you can swim there!

We will have a social event for saturday 24: we shall make a bus trip on the Dolomites (which are among the most beatiful mountains in the world),  where  we can take a short hike. We'll fit that  into the budget, so it will be at no cost for the participants.
